The Prairie Mountain Health organization is seeking a skilled Communicable Disease Prevention Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the public health team, this individual will play a vital role in supporting the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support case and contact management, maintaining accurate health records and data entry.
- Provide current health information to clients and refer them to appropriate services.
- Engage in outreach work to support the engagement of hard-to-reach clients.
- Support outbreak response efforts and vaccination efforts through assessment, education, and advocacy.
- Participate in harm reduction activities and surveillance-related activities such as data collection and entry.
Requirements
- Degree in a related field such as public health, nursing, or a related field.
- Experience in public health or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
