We are seeking an experienced Insurance Professional to join our team as a Commercial Lines Specialist. This role will involve providing exceptional service to assigned commercial clients, handling policy and claims-related tasks, and working closely with Account Executives and insurance companies.
Responsibilities- Provide timely and accurate service to assigned clients on renewals and throughout the policy period, handle questions and inquiries.
- Manage all incoming mail regarding assigned clients, ensuring prompt attention to detail and resolution.
- Process policy documentation with precision and timeliness, including coverage review recommendations, explanations of new or changed coverage, and preparation of presentations and renewal documents for delivery by Account Executive.
- Request policy changes from insurance companies, verifying that all required coverages are placed and bound.
- Monitor renewals, issue binders as needed, and record and process various claims transactions, receiving signatures on applications.
- Maintain up-to-date records of policy coverage/vehicle schedules, etc., accessible for reference by Account Executive or Marketing Department.
- Handle accounts receivable associated with assigned clients, adhering to corporate accounts receivable procedures.
- Eliminate abeyance items through the use of abeyance or suspense systems.
- Support Account Executives in presentation preparation as required, and provide backup for other Commercial Brokers when necessary.
- Adhere to all system procedures and insurance company regulations.
- Participate in special projects at management request, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- RIBO license required.
- 3-5 years Commercial Lines experience.
- Familiarity with Commercial coverages, wordings, and products.
- Excellent customer service skills; strong written and oral communication skills; organized; attention to detail; ability to prioritize; team player; accuracy in recording details.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to remain current and develop expertise in assigned markets; open to new market opportunities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; SigXP is an asset.
