Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Smoky Cabinets. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to precision-cut wood components.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle for transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment with repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure accurate production.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.

Work Environment:

  • Relocation costs not covered by employer.
  • 40 hours per week, permanent work term.
  • English language required.
