Caregiver for Adults with Disabilities

Chelsea's Angels Society is seeking an Attendant for Persons with Disabilities to provide care and support to clients in their homes. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for administering bedside and personal care, assisting clients with daily activities, and providing companionship.
Responsibilities- Administer Bedside and Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as administer medications as required.
- Assist Clients with Daily Activities: Help with feeding, laundry, and light housekeeping duties, as well as provide support with regular exercise and mobility.
- Provide Companionship: Engage with clients in conversation, play games, or watch movies together, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Punctuality: Arrive on time for shifts and be reliable in your commitments.
- Client Focus: Prioritize the needs and comfort of clients, providing empathetic and understanding care.
- Dependability: Show up for work as scheduled, and be available to meet the needs of clients.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other caregivers, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Initiative: Take the initiative to anticipate and meet the needs of clients, demonstrating a proactive and caring approach to care.
- Judgement: Use sound judgement to make decisions that ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks.
- Reliability: Show up for work as scheduled, and be available to meet the needs of clients.
- Patience: Be patient and understanding with clients, recognizing that they may require extra time and support.
- Honesty: Maintain confidentiality and honesty in all interactions with clients, family members, and other caregivers.
