Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary in the range of $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Community Inclusion Support Worker to join our team in Campbell River. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to access meaningful daytime activities in their community.

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in accessing community-based activities and services;
  • Provide guidance and teaching in all areas of living, promoting independence and self-advocacy;
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures;
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, aligned with the needs and goals of each client;
  • Prioritize safety and risk management, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients;
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry standards;

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in Community Support Work or approved equivalent;
  • Previous experience in Community Inclusion or behavioral support is an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to diverse populations;
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and use of personal vehicle for work;
  • Emergency First Aid certification with CPR;
  • Ability to model appropriate behavior and enforce boundaries effectively;
