The Store Manager - Operations is a critical member of our leadership team at Kent Building Supplies. This role is responsible for overseeing all store operations, ensuring seamless execution of business objectives, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Manage store operations to achieve financial results, manage associate performance, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the replenishment team and office manager to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Fleet Management: Work with the Fleet Coordinator to ensure the delivery fleet operates safely and efficiently, resolving customer issues promptly.
- Change Management: Lead the implementation of process improvements and alternative solutions to support business growth.
- Associate Development: Participate in the recruitment process, coach and develop associate performance through one-on-one mentoring and goal setting.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, actively participating in Health and Safety events and collaborating with the safety team.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10+ years of operational management experience.
- Fleet management and shipping experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of building supplies is an asset.
- Ability to navigate high-pressure situations, seeing the bigger picture and implications of decisions.
- Ability to manage a high-velocity workplace through critical thinking skills and business acumen.
- Ability to proactively drive business results and minimize risks through continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
