Engineering Manager, Tax Strategy

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our tax team and develop customized tax strategies for clients. As a trusted advisor, you will design solutions that meet compliance and reporting requirements, minimize risk, drive efficiencies, and maximize returns.

This role involves leading multiple client-facing engagement teams responsible for tax engagements and preparation of tax returns. You will deliver industry and technical expertise through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.

  • Develop proactive tax strategies that utilize business opportunities effectively.
  • Liaise with government agencies on client issues.
  • Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations.
  • Assist in managing personal and trust tax compliance seasons.
  • Manage client relationships, grow accounts, and ensure their needs are met.

You will be accountable for engagement planning and scheduling, project financials, quality control, and maintaining specialized knowledge to address client issues.

Requirements:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Completion of In-depth Tax Program and other specialist development courses.
  • 7-8 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Canadian Tax.
