About the Role

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Airport Operations Agent to join our team. As a key member of our ground support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of the ramp area at all times, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Facilitate Aircraft Turnaround: Assist in the efficient turnaround of aircraft, including directing, loading, unloading, and sorting of luggage and freight.
  • Operate Ground Service Equipment: Safely operate ground service equipment, including de-icing aircraft, servicing lavatories, and filling portable water supplies.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Handle customer baggage and airfreight with care and attention to detail, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with Flight Crew and Ground Personnel: Communicate effectively with flight crew and ground personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in Safety Management System: Actively participate in our Safety Management System, reporting hazards and incidents, and contributing to a culture of safety and security.
  • Meet Quality Objectives: Participate in training and adhere to quality objectives to ensure delivery of desired levels of operational safety and security.
Requirements
  • Legally Entitled to Work in Canada: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
  • Security Clearances: Obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances.
  • Physical Demands: Be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basis.
  • Availability: Work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required.
  • Training and Certification: Successfully complete airline-specific training programs and recertification.
