GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Airport Operations Agent to join our team. As a key member of our ground support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient turnaround of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of the ramp area at all times, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Ground Handling: Assist in the setup and storage of equipment and baggage, as well as the marshaling of aircraft on the ramp.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous, prompt, and accurate handling of customer baggage and airfreight, including loading and offloading aircraft.
- Aircraft Service: Service aircraft as needed, including lavatory, potable water, and deicing services.
- Equipment Maintenance: Observe and maintain safe ground-handling procedures and equipment, including regular checks and maintenance.
- Communication: Constantly communicate with flight crew personnel and other ground personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Eligibility: Be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid driver's license.
- Availability: Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada, including nights, weekends, and varying schedules.
- Security Clearances: Obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances.
- Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basis.
- Teamwork: Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Equipment Operation: Operate Ground Service Equipment in a safe and respectful manner.
- Pressure Management: Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
