Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced retail manager to lead our music store team in Toronto.

About the Role
  • Meet sales goals by training and motivating sales staff, and providing feedback on their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Assemble visual displays to promote products and events, and report on buying trends, customer needs, and profits.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals, and deal with staff and customer issues, including complaints and grievances.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily store operations, including POS sales transactions, returns, and price overrides.
  • Assist customers in purchasing musical instruments, and provide advice on their use and care.
  • Develop strategies to expand store traffic and optimize profitability, in collaboration with head office staff.
Requirements
  • College diploma required, 2 years of work experience as a retail supervisor in the music industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
