Job Title: Senior Manager, Business Analysis

At Scotiabank, we're looking for a seasoned Senior Manager, Business Analysis to lead our Business Analysis team in driving digital transformation and excellence in requirements gathering, documentation, and business analysis.

About the Role:

As a Senior Manager, Business Analysis, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Business Analysts in delivering high-quality business analysis services to support digital product and experience initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing the Business Analysis Chapter roadmap and strategic plans in alignment with the organization's objectives.
  • Collaborating with business and IT leaders to drive excellence in requirements gathering, documentation, and business analysis.
  • Ensuring the Business Analysis team provides deliverables that are clearly, accurately, and thoroughly documented and understood for both system and process changes.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team through the initiative process, in developing and maintaining user stories, BRDs, requirements traceability matrices, and other project deliverables.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of business or operational analysis experience with at least 5 years in a management level position.
  • Completion of post-secondary business/technology/systems or related area degree is required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience operating in an Agile environment & possesses an Agile mind-set.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a Digital organization is an asset.
  • Demonstrated business analysis leadership and experience in large, cross-functional enterprise initiatives within a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Active participation and in-depth knowledge of the International Institute for Business Analysis (IIBA) BABOK (BA Body of Knowledge) is considered an asset.
  • Direct project management experience and/or education is considered an asset.
  • Technical background is considered an asset.
