We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Belleville, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in the testing and diagnostic process for a wide range of patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Unpacking and sorting incoming specimens from various sources, including physicians, clinics, hospitals, and mobile LifeLabs technicians.
- Verifying patient information on requisitions and specimen samples, resolving any discrepancies, and performing required data entry.
- Preparing, sorting, and separating specimens for technical analysis.
- Responding to client inquiries and collaborating with the logistics department.
- Training and orienting new team members.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and security policies.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be an organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. A Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) program or equivalent experience is an asset.
