We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Belleville, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in the testing and diagnostic process for a wide range of patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Unpacking and sorting incoming specimens from various sources, including physicians, clinics, hospitals, and mobile LifeLabs technicians.
  • Verifying the accuracy of patient information on requisitions and specimen samples, resolving any issues or inaccuracies prior to testing, and performing required data entry.
  • Preparing, sorting, and separating specimens for technical analysis.
  • Responding to client inquiries and collaborating with the logistics department.
  • Training and orienting new team members.
  • Performing weekly and monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all laboratory safety and security policies and regulations.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in laboratory operations or medical terminology is an asset.
