LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is a leading provider of laboratory testing services in Canada.

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Belleville, ON.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Unpack and sort incoming specimens from various sources.
  • Verify patient information and resolve any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and perform data entry.
  • Respond to client inquiries and collaborate with the logistics department.
  • Train new team members and perform equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and security policies.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Lab Assistant program is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Data entry and computer skills.
  • Prior experience in laboratory operations or medical terminology is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
