Leadership Opportunity at Home Depot of Canada Inc.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freight Team Lead to join our team at Home Depot of Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and supplies into our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Readiness and Inventory Management: Ensure that all store aisles and overheads are organized and well-stocked, and that inventory levels are accurately managed.
  • Reset and Cross-Merchandising: Manage minor resets and cross-merchandising activities as necessary to maintain planogram adherence and optimize store displays.
  • Associate Development and Performance: Partner with the Operations Assistant Manager to develop and deliver a game plan to prioritize duties of associates, and ensure that all associates are properly trained and equipped to perform their roles.
  • Merchandise Receipt and Inspection: Unload and inspect all merchandise received into the store, and ensure that all products are properly entered into the store system.
  • Department Staffing and Performance: Ensure that department staffing levels meet business needs, and manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards, and recognition.
  • Safety and Asset Protection: Ensure that all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols are clearly communicated and followed by all associates.

Requirements:

  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts.
  • Excellent Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving: Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor or leading teams.
