Lead ESG Reporting and Sustainability Initiatives

About the Role

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive our organization's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on ESG, biodiversity, and climate risk to inform our non-financial disclosure requirements and alignment with net zero objectives.
  • Oversee the collection and synthesis of quantitative, qualitative, and secondary auditable data to support our ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead a team of analysts, advisors, and partners to develop and fulfill our ESG, biodiversity, and climate data, ensuring alignment with our corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Engage with key external industry players to advance sustainability in the agriculture production and transformation sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to inform the development of our ESG-related corporate strategy, objectives, and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, finance, or agriculture, and at least eight years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of primary and secondary research methods.
