Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at International Stagelines Ltd.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and repair complex problems with heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults with heavy vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to resolve issues and provide solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a mechanic on heavy vehicles.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a variety of vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, it would be an asset if you have:

  • A certification in heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Experience working with diesel engines and other complex systems.
  • A strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
