Responsibilities:
This part-time sessional instructor position involves delivering engaging lectures and instructional content across multiple delivery modes (in-person, online, or hybrid) to create an inclusive, dynamic learning environment. You will be responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining course materials, including assignments, quizzes, and exams. Additionally, you will offer regular office hours to meet with students, address inquiries, and provide academic support. Assessment and grading duties include designing and grading assignments, tests, and exams in a timely and consistent manner. Furthermore, you will collaborate on curriculum development to ensure course content aligns with industry standards and trends. Technology integration involves using internal software to manage grades, track progress, and update students on course material.
Requirements:
A Doctorate/Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, or a related field, with a focus on predictive analytics or data analytics, is required. Teaching experience in predictive analytics, regression modeling, data mining, and machine learning at the undergraduate or graduate level is essential. Strong familiarity with software and programming languages used in prescriptive analytics, such as Excel, Python, and/or SAS, is also required. Industry experience in the application of predictive analytics in domains such as healthcare, consumer behavior analysis, credit risk assessment, etc., is a significant asset. Ability to mentor and advise students in both academic and professional development contexts is also preferred. Key skills and qualifications include a student-centric approach, technical expertise in predictive analytics methodologies, effective communication, problem-solving, and professionalism. We also value time management and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a high-pressure environment.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $7,200 per course, paid in installments.
