Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Powder Packer Operator to join our team at our Sussex location. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in compliance with all safety standards and Good Manufacturing Principles to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Monitor and operate equipment in the powder area to ensure optimal production levels.
- Complete training period and perform tasks of an Operator I when required.
- Responsible for completing all paperwork, including weight check forms and product labeling.
- Take samples for food quality testing.
- Sanitize and clean production area.
- Regular manual material handling of 25 kg bags of powder.
- Relevant post-secondary education will be considered an asset.
- Experience working with process controls and computer-based systems will be considered an asset.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license and elevated platform or scissor lift training.
- Previous experience in a food production environment will be considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and work in a safe manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- The right candidate should be flexible and interested in advancing to Operator I.
