Agropur is seeking a Full-Time Powder Packer Operator to join our team at our Sussex location. The successful candidate will be given comprehensive training to ensure their success in this role.

  • Work in compliance with all safety standards and Good Manufacturing Principles, maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor and operate the required equipment in the powder area, ensuring efficient and effective production.
  • Complete training period and perform tasks of an Operator I when required, with opportunities for cross-training and professional growth.
  • Responsible for completing all paperwork, including weight check forms and product labeling, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Take samples for food quality testing, ensuring the highest standards of quality control.
  • Sanitize and clean the production area, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Regular manual material handling of 25 kg bags of powder, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Relevant post-secondary education will be considered an asset, as will experience working with process controls and computer-based systems.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license and elevated platform or scissor lift training, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Previous experience in a food production environment will be considered an asset, as will a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to work at heights, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and work in a safe manner, with a focus on professionalism and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
