Job Title: Powder Packer Operator

Agropur is seeking a skilled Powder Packer Operator to join our team at our Sussex location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to work in our powder area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating equipment, completing training, and performing tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in compliance with all safety standards and Good Manufacturing Principles, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Monitor and operate equipment in the powder area, ensuring efficient production.
  • Complete training period and perform tasks of an Operator I when required, demonstrating cross-training capabilities.
  • Responsible for completing all paperwork, including weight check forms and product labeling.
  • Take samples for food quality testing, ensuring accurate results.
  • Sanitize and clean production areas, maintaining a high level of hygiene.
  • Regular manual material handling of 25 kg bags of powder, demonstrating physical ability.
  • Relevant post-secondary education will be considered an asset, as will experience working with process controls and computer-based systems.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, demonstrating flexibility.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license and elevated platform or scissor lift training, ensuring safety.
  • Previous experience in a food production environment will be considered an asset, as will a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to work at heights, demonstrating physical ability.
  • Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and work in a safe manner, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, showcasing teamwork skills.
  • The right candidate should be flexible and interested in advancing to Operator I, demonstrating career growth potential.
