Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business System Analyst to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving our financial systems to ensure they meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Finance representatives and IT architects to understand the data flows and responsibilities of each system in the Finance architecture.
  • Collaborate with system analysts and subject matter experts to plan, coordinate, and manage the documentation of requirements.
  • Analyze and interrogate various data sources and databases to assess the completeness and quality of data.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and functional requirements for financial systems.
  • Work closely with QA managers and data providers to clarify test objectives and plan test cycles.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or finance.
  • Proven ability in written and oral communication skills, with careful and concise attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management capabilities.
  • Experience working with financial products and systems, including loans, deposits, securities, and derivatives.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Python, and Excel, with some understanding of databases and data models.
