About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Slave Lake Accommodations LTD. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll, ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including calculating fixed assets and depreciation, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
  • Computer and Technology: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Transportation/Travel: Own transportation required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
