About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at THE YK CAREER EDUCATION SOCIETY. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and other statistical reports to provide insights into our financial performance.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Journal Entries: Post journal entries to record financial transactions and maintain the integrity of our financial records.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
