Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofing Apprentice to join our team. As a Roofing Apprentice, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems, including asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Support the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Assist in repairing or replacing single-ply roofing systems.
  • Learn from experienced roofers and develop your skills in roofing techniques.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Work Environment:

As a Roofing Apprentice, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads. You will also work under pressure and be required to work overtime.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a team player attitude.
