Job Title: Apprentice Roofer

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal roofs, and single-ply roofing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Assist in instructing apprentices
  • Help install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
Work Environment:

As an Apprentice Roofer, you will work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors. You will be required to work in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Dependability, excellent oral and written communication skills, reliability, and a team player attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding tasks, and handle heavy loads
