Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Sandhu Express Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that our vehicles are always in good working condition.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that our vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Safely handle and secure cargo, including tarping and ensuring the safety and security of our loads.
  • Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 50-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work environment is a fast-paced, dynamic transportation company.
