Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Child Mental Health Therapist to join our Eating Disorders Program at Phillips House. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychological assessments and individual, family, and group therapy to children and youth with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct multi-modal outpatient therapy sessions in individual and group settings using Family Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), and CBT for ARFID.
  • Provide consultation to medical and mental health staff on eating disorder treatment and management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures relevant to the Eating Disorders Program.
  • Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of new therapeutic programs based on clinical needs.
  • Initiate and participate in research, program evaluation, and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Registered member in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in various modes of individual and family therapy for children, youth, and families experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
  • Experience with eating disorder treatment modalities.
  • Related clinical experience in children's mental health agencies or hospital settings.

You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare providers, staff, and volunteers in one of Canada's leading hospitals. This is a full-time temporary position of 12 months with 8 hour shifts, days shifts in the Child Mental Health department, eating disorders at Phillips House (10 Buchan Court).
