As a key member of the Brave Control Solutions Inc. team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales engineering efforts, engineering management, and technical delivery for assigned projects.
Reporting to the Divisional Director of Engineering, your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Providing pre-sales technical consulting to customers through meetings, site visits, trade shows, and other industry events
- Gathering and analyzing technical requirements, performing technical assessments, and providing insights and recommendations
- Developing solution concepts, estimates, and detailed quotes
- Recommending technical project resourcing
- Producing assigned project documents and deliverables in accordance with Brave processes
- Leading/facilitating Specialist and Leads' efforts to produce assigned deliverables
- Evaluating the engineering quality of project deliverables produced by assigned Specialists and Leads
- Leading/facilitating technical status updates with internal resources
- Attending and participating in regular customer status meetings
- Purchasing hardware and other project-related goods and services in accordance with project plan
- Producing purchase orders and maintaining detailed order logs
- Providing technical support for project scope management efforts
- Participating in continuous improvement efforts of internal processes
- 6+ years of experience in an integration environment
- Excellent understanding of controls, industrial automation, and mechatronic processes
- Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering OR Technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience with commissioning, start-ups, and troubleshooting of industrial automation projects
- Willingness to travel to customer facilities
- Advanced knowledge of electrical design as it pertains to automation
- Supervisory experience as a group leader or branch manager
- Experience estimating projects for materials and labor costs
