Job Summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Community Care Specialist, you will provide home visits to assess the abilities and needs of individuals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to facilitate function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement client-centered plans to address physical, social, cultural, and institutional environmental impact on occupational performance
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare workers and other community resources to provide comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

Requirements

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing)
  • Accepting New Graduates Licensed
  • ADP authorization considered an asset
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
  • Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
