About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Akira Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi and other specialty items
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a Japanese restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
