About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Earls Restaurant (Grande Prairie) Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. You will also prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

Work Environment:

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and we require our team members to be physically demanding and have excellent attention to detail. You will be working in a team environment, and we require our team members to be reliable, organized, and have excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Availability to work 36 to 40 hours per week.
