Logistics Coordinator Job Description

Fed Supply is seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our shipping and inventory management operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our export logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the shipping and inventory team to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicate and coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, truckers, and shipyards to make bookings in accordance with the terms of sales contracts.
  • Manage bookings in compliance with contractual shipping requirements (Incoterm, packaging, weight restrictions, container size, etc.).
  • Coordinate the entire shipping process, including booking, electronic manifest, bills of lading, and freight invoices.
  • Prepare and approve shipping documents for export, verifying accuracy and performing data entry.
  • Obtain and provide load photos for all shipments, as requested by customers.
  • Create B13/AES export declarations for Canadian and U.S. exports.
  • Digitally record all correspondence and relevant documents.
  • Handle a high volume of correspondence with divisions, overseas offices, customers, and transportation service providers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in freight forwarding or FCL/LCL Ocean Export handling.
  • Knowledge of export regulations, CAED/AES, full understanding of Incoterms is a must.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel.
  • Organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, and control).
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess the current situation, respond quickly to changing requirements, and execute accordingly.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others as a good team player.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills: French and English.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business, transportation, and logistics management, is considered an asset.
