About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Solutions Developer to join our team at Amazon, where you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing our e-commerce offer evaluation experience. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in artificial intelligence, statistics, and econometrics to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Optimize AI Models: Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our offer evaluation system, impacting millions of shoppers and sellers worldwide.
  • Collaborate with Engineers: Partner closely with our engineering team to design, implement, and deploy AI-powered solutions on Amazon.com.
  • Conduct Research and Deliver Novel Solutions: Leverage your scientific expertise to explore emerging problem spaces and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Contribute to the Machine Learning Community: Publish papers and file patents to share your knowledge and contribute to the advancement of machine learning.

The Featured Merchant Algorithm (FMA) team is committed to providing the world's best offer evaluation experience, ensuring that Amazon customers see the most relevant offers regardless of seller, brand, store, fulfillment channel, or shopping format. We operate in a diverse space that includes modeling of customer purchase behavior, advanced simulation, experimentation, evaluation, and compliance.

Requirements:
  • Experience in Building Machine Learning Models: 3+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models for business applications.
  • Advanced Degree and Applied Research Experience: PhD, or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
