About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our municipal engineering practice in Niagara. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, leading business development initiatives, and managing projects from planning to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and revenue in the municipal engineering sector.
- Lead business development initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and managing client relationships.
- Manage projects from planning to execution, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Oversee the design team and ensure projects meet professional standards and quality requirements.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, proposals, and reports.
- Collaborate with other offices across Canada to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Mentor and coach project teams, including technical and field staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, with at least 10 years in a consultancy.
- P.Eng., or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
- Project management (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
- Experience in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other skills appropriate to consulting.
- Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
- Familiarity with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
- Extensive experience providing strategic advisory services related to municipal engineering projects and clients.
