Financial Advisor Opportunity

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly motivated Financial Advisor to contribute to our wealth management team. As a key member, you will be responsible for deepening and broadening client relationships, collaborating with associates, and driving business growth through prospecting and organic expansion. Your innovative approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and unbiased product recommendations will be essential in retaining and growing a financial advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, as well as internal and external referral sources and centers-of-influence.
  • Utilize a holistic planning approach to understand client needs, recommend, and implement suitable financial solutions.
  • Proactively source new business, manage clients, and grow a solid client base.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance operating standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on investment and financial planning experience.
  • Mutual Fund License required.
  • Proficient in using financial planning software.
  • Meet all provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education.
  • University Degree/College Diploma.
  • Professional Designations (e.g., CFP, CIM, CLU) or working towards.
  • Self-motivated, people-oriented individual with a passion for helping clients with short-, mid-, and long-term financial planning needs.
  • Track record of building and growing a profitable financial advisory practice.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM.
