About the Role

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Services Professional to join our team As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for developing and building relationships with existing and new clients, as well as internal and external referral sources and centers-of-influence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's needs using a holistic planning approach to identify, recommend, and implement the most suitable financial solutions.
  • Proactively source new business, manage clients, and grow a solid client base.
  • Understand and adhere to all regulatory and compliance operating standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of previous hands-on investment and financial planning experience.
  • Mutual Fund License required.
  • Proficient in using financial planning software.
  • Meet all provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education requirements.
  • University Degree/College Diploma.
  • Professional Designations (e.g., CFP, CIM, CLU) or working towards.
  • Self-motivated, people-oriented individual with a passion for helping people with their short-, mid-, and long-term financial planning needs.
  • Track record of building and growing a profitable financial advisory practice.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM.
