Strategic Training and Development Leader

Job Title: Manager of Training and Development
About the Role:
Mircom Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Training and Development leader to lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of all training programs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Strategy & Team Management: Develop and lead a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals, and manage a high-performing team to deliver world-class technical training.
- Program Development & AI Integration: Oversee the design of technical and non-technical training for employees, partners, and departments, while integrating AI technologies to enhance content creation and training delivery.
- Certifications & Compliance: Implement and manage technical certification programs, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (NFPA, UL, ULC), and ensure all training programs comply with safety standards and industry best practices.
- Collaboration & Content Development: Collaborate with product, engineering, and service teams to ensure training content is current, relevant, and aligned with the latest innovations and standards.
- Training Delivery & Monitoring: Ensure high-quality delivery of in-person and virtual training, utilizing AI tools for scalability, and track performance metrics to assess program effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Partner with department heads and HR to address training needs, report on key performance indicators, and maintain records of participation and certifications.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications, such as NFPA, are a plus).
- 7-10 years of experience in a training leadership role, preferably within fire alarm, life safety, or security systems.
- Expertise in designing and delivering technical training programs with a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), AI-driven content tools, and training technologies.
