About the Role

Amazon Data Services Canada, Inc. is seeking a talented Software Development Manager to lead the delivery of customer-facing sustainability products. As a key member of the AWS Infrastructure Sustainability Tech team, you will be responsible for driving the roadmap and delivery of the Customer Carbon Footprint Tool (CCFT), enabling the incorporation of Scope 3 emissions data, and providing technical vision and delivery leadership for strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team of Software Developers, Data Engineers, and Business Intelligence Engineers to deliver high-impact sustainability products and features.
- Drive the definition and development of multi-tier web services, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- Partner with product or program management teams to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.

Requirements

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
