About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead the delivery of customer-facing sustainability products within our AWS Infrastructure Sustainability Tech organization. This team builds solutions to integrate sustainability data across AWS infrastructure and operations, supporting AWS customers' sustainability goals and our progress towards net zero carbon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Software Developers, Data Engineers, and Business Intelligence Engineers to deliver high-impact sustainability products and features.
  • Drive the roadmap and delivery of the Customer Carbon Footprint Tool (CCFT), enabling the incorporation of Scope 3 emissions data.
  • Provide technical vision and delivery leadership for strategic initiatives, partnering with various stakeholders.
  • Foster a highly versatile engineering team, ensuring exemplary technical designs and simple, flexible solutions are delivered.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective.
