Long Haul Truck Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Professional Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at B.C LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances.
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections of vehicles and record all aspects of vehicle operation.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements:
  • A valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) is required.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is also required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary for this role.
  • A valid passport and a clean driver's license are also required.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The successful candidate will be willing to travel overnight and for extended periods.
Compensation:

We offer an estimated salary of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and average salaries for similar positions in the region.
