Controller Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information
  • Identify and implement systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide financial and strategic analysis and advice to senior management
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and branch assistance loan agreements
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for all entities
  • Ensure accurate and timely government reports, taxes, and remittances
  • Manage and oversee the relationship with external auditors
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare quarterly reports
  • Prepare and file GST/PST quarterly returns
Requirements:
  • CPA designation
  • 5 years of experience in public practice, preferably with non-profit organizations
