Your Role

This role requires open availability, including days, evenings and nights, with short notice. You will be responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented nursing care to residents according to provincial standards.

You will implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making necessary adjustments to ensure resident needs are met.

A key aspect of this role is teaching, delegating and directing unregulated care providers, providing coaching and mentorship as needed.

Requirements
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
  • Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and experience working with seniors.
  • Experience with unregulated care providers is preferred but not required.
  • A strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role are essential.
  • Focused on teamwork and customer service, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, critical thinking and organizational abilities are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and current certifications (Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid) are also required.
