About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Gateway Casinos Corporate Office. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to support business decisions and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the corporate marketing team in developing and executing direct marketing projects to achieve revenue, profitability, market share, and customer base objectives.
  • Support business, corporate, and property leaders by providing reporting and analysis, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide a sound basis for strategic business decisions.
  • Examine marketing promotions and programs to identify opportunities to improve ROI, customer engagement, and retention.
  • Analyze customer behavior and recommend changes to marketing offers, promotions, and programs in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Regularly distill large amounts of data into actionable recommendations and presentations for management.
  • Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets.
  • Drive innovative approaches to marketing analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Business Analysis, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and programming skills, including data manipulation, statistical analytics, and marketing studies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with large datasets and producing data-driven insights to support business initiatives.
  • Proficient in SQL programming and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient in statistical language R, with experience in packages including tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot, and lubridate.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Preference for knowledge with project-oriented workflow in RStudio and modern software collaboration tools (Git and Github).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Willingness to learn and capable of understanding new concepts and mastering new skills quickly.
  • Understanding of casino and/or hospitality environments is optional.
