Job Summary:

The Student Recruitment Officer is a key member of the marketing and recruitment team at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Recruitment, this role is responsible for planning and implementing effective recruitment strategies and activities to achieve enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute marketing and recruitment plans for designated markets to achieve enrollment targets.
  2. Maintain familiarity with designated markets, including admissions requirements, educational systems, and market attributes.
  3. Liaise with university departments and campuses to maintain familiarity with university programs and services.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and deliver special events and presentations to support marketing and recruitment initiatives.
  5. Travel to designated markets to represent the university at educational fairs and conferences.
  6. Coordinate advertising campaigns and marketing materials for designated markets.
  7. Cultivate alumni, guidance counselors, and other constituencies to assist with marketing and recruitment efforts.
  8. Provide pre-admission advising and counsel prospective students and parents on academic programs, requirements, and financial aid.
  9. Utilize effective prospect management practices to follow up on inquiries, applications, and admitted students.
  10. Monitor application receipt and determine next steps in the recruitment process.
  11. Regularly update prospect management and student information systems.
  12. Provide regular reports on recruitment activities, programs, and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong understanding of post-secondary admissions procedures and a minimum of 1 year of experience in student recruitment/admissions.
  • Dynamic, outgoing personality with excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Valid driver's license, accessibility to a car, and ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in a second language required for designated market(s).
  • Canadian residency or work permit required.
