Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Guardian Condominium Care Inc.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our condominium complex. This includes sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, operating industrial vacuum cleaners, emptying trash cans, and performing minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Supervise other workers
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel
