We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine and on-demand maintenance services on grounds and non-technical facility components.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with established processes and practices.
- Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations.
- Conduct regular facility and grounds inspections to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for enhancements and repairs.
- Respond to routine service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Operate facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
- Manage work orders and record resolution data within our service management database.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure that deficiencies are identified and escalated.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Up to 1 year of facility operations and maintenance work experience.
- Ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices related to facility operations and maintenance.
- Strong client-service orientation and a high sense of urgency.
- Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
- Ability to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby, and emergency call-outs as needed.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment.
- Enhanced security clearance requirements.
