About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our team at Plan Group in Calgary, AB. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will be responsible for a range of electrical installation activities, including:

  • Installing conduits using a hand, mechanical or hydraulic bender
  • Installing new wire in existing systems or repairing old wiring
  • Installing fire alarms, security, lighting controls, data/telecom and energy management systems
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, including panel boards, transformers, switchgear, transfer switches and other types of equipment
  • Roughing in and finishing wiring control systems
  • Ensuring compliance with all required company and prime contractor safety rules and regulations

To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of electrical installation principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements
  • Registered Apprentice with ITA or another recognized provincial apprenticeship
  • Current WAH (Working at Heights) certification
  • Current WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
