Job Title: Technical Services Supervisor

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Science Operations Department, you will be responsible for the daily oversight and operation of the technical services space in the new Science Commons building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and maintenance services to all disciplines within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
  • Develop and oversee the equipment maintenance, safety, and training program for technical services.
  • Manage the financial aspects of technical services, including purchasing and inventory management of spare parts and consumables.
  • Bill users for the use of technical services, both internal and external to the University.
  • Track projects, including reporting on costs and labor requirements.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or certificate in a relevant trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, millwright, or electronics/electrician.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration and experience with financial management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $5,291.00 - $5,990.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 12).
  • A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits.
