Job Title: Technical Services Supervisor

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Supervisor to join our Science Operations Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily oversight and operation of the technical services space in the new Science Commons building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services to all disciplines within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
  • Develop and oversee the equipment maintenance, safety, and training program for technical services.
  • Manage the financial aspects of technical services, including purchasing and inventory management of spare parts/consumables, billing users for use of technical services, and tracking of projects.
  • Collaborate with internal users/customers to ensure a good and working relationship.
Requirements:
  • College diploma/certificate in one of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, millwright, or electronics/electrician.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration and experience with financial management, protocol development, and training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $5,291.00 - $5,990.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 12).
  • A full-time two-year term position with 35 hours of work per week (1.0 FTE).
